9th June 2010 at Huntsman Advanced Materials (UK), Duxford.
The format of the day followed that of previous events with papers before and after lunch, followed by a site tour but with an added hands-on session.
The event was well-attended with 17 delegates. A joint presentation was given by 2 Huntsman colleagues offering applications for Huntsman’s adhesive types and afterwards by an independent consultant who gave a talk on a much broader range of adhesive chemistries and their applications. He was very well received. All delegates were sent a copy of the presentations.
After lunch, a hands-on session enabled delegates to experience handling and application of some adhesives and dispensing from cartridges to see the variation from water-viscous liquids to thixotropic pastes.
The day ended with a tour of the Duxford site to see the main production plant, and the adhesives small-packing plant
