The EIA held its Annual General Meeting at the Thistle Hotel, Haydock Park on Thursday 14th April 2011, commencing at 2.30pm. There were 19 attendees. After the AGM there was the traditional dinner with drinks and 17 members were in attendance. As usual, the dinner was hosted by the Association at no charge to Members with a free bar before and during the meal for everyone. Only 11 members stayed the night, which reflected the lack of enthusiasm for EIA activities interfering with two days’ business.
In keeping with previous years, the EIA Annual Golf Competition was held at the Ashton-in-Makerfield Golf Club but on this occasion on the morning after the AGM. All green fees were paid by the Association. There were 8 participants and the winner with the best individual score was Frederic Dodin of AEV Ltd. The prize for the shot nearest to the hole went to Mark Chisholm of JSI.
