The EIA were very pleased to accept the invitation of Nottingham University PEMC to hold our General Meeting at the University and to learn of the exciting research projects which are being undertaken.
Of particular interest to members was the work in the field of electric propulsion for aerospace and the obstacles which need to be overcome to achieve rotating machine operation at temperatures as high as 500°C and to avoid partial discharge at extreme altitudes. Many of our members expressed an interest in holding future discussions on how they might collaborate on the development of insulation materials.
