Members met at their traditional venue for this year’s AGM.
Attila Gyore was announced and the new Chairman of the EIA and Andy Goode as Vice Chairman. Tony Greenfield was thanked for his time in office.
Members were reminded that there were still vacancies for board members and with some current board members indicating they would stand down within the next two years, all were asked to consider whether they could offer something back to the EIA by way of serving on the board.
After the necessary business a presentation was given by three members of the Greater Manchester Magistrates services which was followed by a role play mock trial, based on a real-life event and trial. The presentation was informative, and the mock trial caused some hilarity, whilst all appreciating that the mock was of a real trial, of a serious nature.
