At 2 pm we had a guided technical tour of Concorde “Alpha Charlie”. It commenced with an excellent 45 minute technical presentation underneath the plane, with a comprehensive description of all the diagnostic and measurement systems. We then entered the cabin and had a question and answer session, during which groups of three moved forward to visit the flight deck. Everyone had a chance to sit in the pilot’s seat and have a photo taken. The tour lasted until 3.30 pm.
It was unanimously agreed to have been the most successful venue ever arranged for an EIA General Meeting and the tour of Concorde was an exceptional experience for all 21 people who attended.
