FRIDAY 17 APRIL 2009.
The EIA Annual General Meeting was held at The Thistle Haydock, Warrington starting at 2.30 pm in the Birkdale Room. After the meeting, we had a talk for 45 minutes on Cost Savings to Business by Eric Bond from Groundwork UK, the Environmental Regeneration Charity, that works to improve energy efficiency in industry.
In keeping with previous years, the EIA Golf Tournament was held in the morning at the nearby Ashton-in Makerfield Golf Club. The individual prize was won by Mr Todd Littlehales. The photo on the left shows Todd Littlehales receiving the EIA Golf Trophy for 2009 from Tom Eland, the EIA Chairmnan.
After the AGM there was an evening dinner with drinks and it turned out to be an enjoyable social event. The dinner this year was hosted by the Association at no charge to Members and Members’ guests (limit of 3 people per company). There was a free bar before and during the meal for everyone.
