The fourth in the series of industry seminars was hosted by the AREVA T&D Technology Centre.
The morning centred on the materials and vacuum processing to fabricate cast resin and filament wound components for high voltage applications while the afternoon demonstrated the importance of the dielectric characterisation and high voltage testing, particularly partial discharge analysis.
Presentations were given by Ian James and Fabrice Perrot from the AREVA T&D Technology Centre supported by Vaughan Dickinson from Huntsman Advanced Materials.
The seminar concluded when the 16 delegates were given a tour of the high voltage test facilities to examine some of the HV products produced by these processes.
