Insucon is the International Electrical Insulation Conference and is held in Europe at intervals of 3 or 4 years. The first Conference in this series was held in 1970 and was called the BEAMA International Conference. For over 15 years, Insucon has been organised by the Electrical Insulation Association, a trade association in the UK, and attracts engineers, consultants and University researchers from all over the world.
The next Insucon is planned for May 2021 at Austin Court, the Institution of Engineering and Technology Centre in Birmingham, UK, where the successful Insucon 11 12 and 13 were held, most recently in May 2017..
This series of seminars is intended to give an introduction to a variety of insulation systems. The seminars will describe the processes involved in manufacture, the problems and solutions associated with the various types of insulation systems and a factory tour to see them in manufacture. Topics include introductions to:-
- Cast Resin Insulation
- Flexible Insulation
- Vacuum Cast Resins
These seminars will run at intervals of about one year and may be held at member company premises or elsewhere. For a review of past seminars, go to the previous events page.
